Brian

Brian started learning to turn wood in 1981 by using firewood as his material, a how-to-turn book as his instructor, and a small hobby lathe as his mistress ( he stole every minute he possibly could to be with her in the shop). This overwhelming passion only became stronger with time and turning fluency, eventually leading to an outright divorce from his teaching career.

He has turned wood full-time in Chilliwack, BC since 1992, attended every major art-and- craft show from Victoria to Toronto, supplied dozens of galleries from Vancouver Island to Toronto, several in the United States, and one in Ireland.

What keeps Brian at it is the ability to take a piece of "firewood" through all the stages necessary to make it a desirable and delightful artform.

Long before the piece he's working on is completed, Brian has his eye on the next piece of wood that needs turning.

Collette

From as far back as she can remember, she's been a-drawing and a-painting.

With its endless hues of fascinating colours, nature has always been her primary teacher, and it is from nature that she draws her inspiration.

When wooden bells came Collette's way she turned from painting on silk to painting on wood and a unique craft was conceived. The results met with great response, and so today more than ever she enjoys painting and thanks God for His generous gift.
